ΑΝΤ1 97,5 was founded in 1988, at a time when Salonika lacked a radio station with good music, quality entertainment and free expression about issues regarding Northern Greece and the Balkan area in general.

Famous people of the arts and politics have used the microphone of ANT1 97,5. Among them, our great composer Manos Chatzidakis and our national movie star Aliki Vougiouklaki.

Bearing in mind the constant changes taking place in our society, ANT1 97,5 has been striving to re-assess its communicative goals and cover the needs of its listeners. It welcomes creative representatives of the younger generation; it extends its collaborations with city authorities and non-governmental organizations and also organizes charity concerts.

Entertainment may seem prominent in ANT1 97,5, however the station's major role remains that of a quality news and current affairs radio. At the same time, it keeps developing its technologies by creating new digital studios and by renewing its transmission systems.
