The great success of ANT1 SATELLITE in the US led to the launching of ANT1 PACIFIC in Australia, in 1996, thereby extending the communication channel with Greeks living abroad.

Now in its second decade on the air, ANT1 PACIFIC is by its viewers' side, providing a 24-hour program adapted to the daily lives of Greeks who reside in Australia. The daily program has been enriched with special programs specifically for Greeks abroad, such as children's animated programs dubbed in Greek, movies of modern Greek cinema, cooking shows with Greek recipes, shows devoted to Greek music, as well as news shows featuring issues relevant to Greeks in Australia. Sports programming is especially important, as ANT1 PACIFIC has acquired broadcast rights for the soccer games of the Greek Superleague and the Greek Soccer Cup. ANT1's program in Australia is constantly enriched and added on, returning the trust of the audience which led the channel to the top.
