ΑΝΤ1 SATELLITE

ANT1 Satellite 2008

In 1993 ANTENNA Group expanded their operations outside Greece, by creating ANT1 SATELLITE, the first Greek TV station that established a communication channel of the Greeks abroad with their homeland.

ANT1 SATELLITE began with an 8-hour daily program and in 1999, after the audience's positive reaction, increased its airtime to 18 hours a day, before transmitting on a 24 hour basis, starting from October 1, 2001.

Now nearing its 20th anniversary, ANT1 SATELLITE successfully continues its work, offering rich programming which includes all the Greek series, news bulletins, entertainment and news shows broadcast on ANT1 TV. The daily program has been enriched with special programs specifically for Greeks abroad, such as children's animated programs dubbed in Greek, movies of modern Greek cinema, cooking shows with Greek recipes, shows devoted to Greek music, as well as news shows featuring issues relevant to Greeks in the United States and Canada. Sports programming is especially important, as ANT1 SATELLITE has acquired broadcast rights for the soccer games of the Greek Superleague and the Greek Soccer Cup. ANT1's program in North America is constantly enriched and added on, returning the trust of the audience which led the channel to the top.

The channel is available in the United States by satellite through DISH NETWORK and by cable on platforms CABLEVISION, TIME WARNER CABLE, COMCAST, VERIZON, BRIGHT HOUSE NETWORKS, RCN and CABLE BAHAMAS.

ANT1 SATELLITE is also available in Canada through ODYSSEY TV NETWORK on platforms COGECO CABLE, SHAW HAMILTON, VIDEOTRON, ROGERS CABLE, OMINECA, SHAW DIRECT, SOURCE CABLE and BELL TV.
